여성 결혼이민자의 부부갈등 및 학대에 관한 연구 -사회문화적 요인을 중심으로

초록

본 연구는 한국남성과 결혼한 동남아 이민여성 174명을 대상으로 부부갈등 및 학대를 살펴보고 사회문화적 변수들이 부부갈등 및 학대에 미치는 영향을 살펴보는 연구이며 빈도, ANOVA, 위계적 회귀분석 등의 통계방법을 사용하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 결혼이민여성의 부부갈등 중 공동생활영역이 가장 높게 나타났다. 학대의 경우 심리적 학대가 가장 높게 나타났으며 신체적 학대, 성적 학대 순으로 결혼이민여성이 심리적 학대에 가장 많이 노출되어 있었다. 인구사회학적 변수들에 따른 부부갈등 및 아내학대의 차이를 보면 농촌에 거주하는 경우, 출신국가가 일본과 필리핀을 제외한 기타 국가인 경우 부부갈등과 아내학대가 공통적으로 더 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 사회문화적 변수들이 부부갈등에 미치는 영향력을 살펴본 결과 출신국가별 차별적인 개입과 문화적 차이 해소교육, 보다 많은 사회적 지지, 한국어 교육 등이 제공될 때 부부갈등이 감소될 수 있음을 발견하였다. 또한 사회문화적 변수들과 부부갈등이 전체 아내학대에 미치는 영향력을 살펴본 결과 부부갈등이 학대에 설명하는데 가장 강력한 예측요인으로 나타났으며 사회적 지지를 비롯한 문화적응스트레스, 문화정체감 등 사회문화적 변수들의 영향력도 크게 나타났다. 따라서 결혼이민여성이 부부갈등 및 학대로부터 보호되기 위해서는 사회문화적 특성을 고려한 보다 다양한 서비스의 접근이 요구됨을 확인할 수 있었다. 특히 부부갈등이 심각할 때 학대의 발생가능성이 더 높게 나타난 결과로 볼 때 부부갈등의 예방과 적절한 대처기술에 대한 개입이 요구된다 하겠다.

Abstract

The purposes of this study were to find the general trends of socio-cultural variables, marital conflicts and abuse, to analyze the effects of socio-cultural variables and marital conflicts on the abuse of 174 immigrant women. The data were analyzed with frequency, ANOVA and hierachical regression by SPSS. The major findings were as follows; 1. The level of immigrant women' marital conflicts with joint area is highest. The level of psychological abuse was the highest and sexual abuse is lowest. Immigrant women's marital conflicts and abuse were significantly different from residence and native country. 2. To prevent and to reduce marital conflict need to provided discriminative intervention to native country, cultural adaption education, more social support and Korean education. Abuse was caused by various socio-cultural including acculturative stress, acculturation and high marital conflicts. In conclusion, marital conflicts have buffering effect on abuse and is important to prevent immigrant women's abuse. The more marital conflict was serious, the higher abuse happened. So understanding and reasonable coping of marital conflicts have to be provided.
