상호문화이해에 입각한 인권교육 실태 분석 연구

본 연구는 우리의 다문화사회에서 벌어지는 인권교육 실태에 대해 파악하는 내용을 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위해 충청권 지역의 한국인 대학생 50명(54.3%), 그리고 이 지역 대학교에 유학 온 베트남인 42명(45.7%)을 대상으로 실시한 후 그 결과를 분석한 것이다. 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 인권 인식의 전체 평균으로 종합하면 5점 만점에 인권인식 변인은 3.33(±0.75), 인권 의미인식 변인은 2.90(±0.85), 인권의 존중감 변인은 2.80(±0.94), 인권교육 습득정도 변인은 2.97(±0.89), 인권교육의 필요성 변인은 3.91(±0.89)로 조사되었다. 5개의 영역에서 인권교육의 필요성 변인의 평균이 가장 높은 것으로 나타나 무엇보다 인권교육이 필요한 과제임을 시사해주고 있다고 볼 수 있다. 이러한 결과를 통해 우리 사회의 인권 의식을 향상시키는 방안이 요청된다. 본 연구는 한국 사회가 더욱 상호 문화이해 입장으로 인권교육과 다문화역량을 고취하는 프로그램의 개발 및 실행의 필요성을 제시하였다.
Abstract
This study aims to verify the contents of the understanding of the current state of human rights education in our multicultural society. To this end, we conducted a survey of 50 Korean college students (54.3%) in the Chungcheong region and 42 Vietnamese students (45.7%) who studied abroad at universities in the region, and analyzed the results. The results of the analysis are as follows. When the overall average of human rights awareness is summarized, the human rights awareness variable was 3.33 (±0.75) out of 5 points, the human rights meaning awareness variable was 2.90 (±0.85), the respect for human rights variable was 2.80 (±0.94), the degree of human rights education acquisition variable was 2.97 (±0.89), and the necessity of human rights education variable was 3.91 (±0.89). The average of the necessity of human rights education variable was the highest among the five areas, suggesting that human rights education is a necessary task above all else. These results call for measures to improve human rights awareness in our society. This study suggests the need for Korean society to develop and implement programs that promote human rights education and multicultural competency from a more intercultural understanding perspective.
