한국판 청소년용 민감성 척도 타당화 연구

본 연구는 Pluess와 동료들(2018)이 개발한 민감성 척도(Highly Sensitive Child Scale; HSC)를 한국판으로 타당화하기 위하여 수행되었다. 서울 및 경기 지역에 소재하는 중고등학교의 재학생 736명을 대상으로 질문지법을 활용해 자료를 수집하였다. 본 연구에서는 Pluess와 동료들(2018)이 개발한 민감성 질문지(Highly Sensitive Child Scale; HSC)의 초기 37문항을 한국어로 번안하여 사용하였다. 또한 청소년의 성격 5요인을 측정하기 위해 John과 Srivastava(1999)가 개발한 BFI(Big Five Inventory)를 번안하고 타당화한 간편형 한국어 BFI(김복환, 하문선, 2011)를 사용하였고, 행동억제체계의 민감성 수준을 측정하기 위해 Carver와 White(1994)가 개발한 행동활성화 및 행동억제 체계 척도(The BIS/BAS scale)를 번안하고 타당화한 한국판 행동억제체계(BIS) 척도(김교헌, 김원식, 2001)를 사용하였다. 수집된 자료를 이용해 탐색적 요인분석과 확인적 요인분석, 상관분석, 신뢰도 분석을 실시하였다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 탐색적 요인분석을 통해 민감성 척도는 심미성 지각, 자극 불편감, 정서적 공감으로 구성되었음을 확인하였다. 둘째, 확인적 요인분석을 실시한 결과, 민감성 척도의 모형 적합도 지수가 적절한 수준인 것으로 나타나 본 척도의 구성 타당도를 재확인할 수 있었다. 셋째, 민감성과 성격 5요인(Big Five Inventory; BFI), 행동억제체계(Behavioral Inhibition System; BIS)의 상관을 살펴본 결과, 민감성은 두 가지 개념과 관련이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이를 바탕으로 본 척도의 준거관련 타당도를 확인하였다. 넷째, 신뢰도를 살펴본 결과, 내적 일치도가 양호한 수준임을 확인하였다. 본 연구에서 한국판 청소년용 민감성 평가도구를 제공함으로써 추후 환경자극에 다르게 반응하는 청소년의 특성을 연구하는데 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to validate the Korean version of the Sensitivity Questionnaire for adolescents. The participants were 736 adolescents in Seoul and Gyeonggi area. The results were as follows. First, a final set of 12 Likert-style items were selected for the Korean version of the Sensitivity Questionnaire(K-SQ). The K-SQ is consisted of 3 subscales including aesthetic perception, stimuli discomfort and emotional sympathy. The construct validity was demonstrated using exploratory factor analyses and confirmatory factor analyses. Also, the scores of the K-SQ were found to be associated with scores in behavioral inhibition system(BIS) and Big-Five personality, which suggested an evidence of criterion-related validity of the K-SQ. Second, acceptable level of internal consistency of the K-SQ were demonstrated using reliability statistics. These psychometric findings indicated that the Korean version of Sensitivity Questionnaire is valid and reliable for Korean adolescents.
