초록
This article delves into numerous factors influencing corruption within the South and Southeast Asian regions. The analysis reveals that variables pertaining to democratic governance, regulatory quality, foreign investments assessed via FDI inflows, and religious fractionalisation exert substantial influence in mitigating corruption within these regions. On the other hand, a greater abundance of natural resources is found to increase corruption. A robustness check also provides strong evidence to support our findings. In light of these findings, this article presents implications.
