The door system for railway vehicles is the device influence on stability and satisfaction of passengers in directly, the reliability of that is very important thing. Because the workshop for railway manages the maintenance data using computer and database, we analyze the maintenance data from workshop and the maker suggested data and acquire the trouble data of the door system in systematically. In this study, we research about the improvement plan for the electrical door system currently used in railway vehicles with analyzing elements from the maintenance data which have an effect on reliability. Also we find out the failure rate of the element effected on the reliability and suggest several kinds of plan for improving reliability.
