현대 한국그림책에 나타난 할아버지와 손자녀간의 소통과 이해

논문에서는 2010년 이후 발간된 한국 현대 그림책을 대상으로, 할아버지와 손자손녀관계가 어떻게 그려졌는가, 조부모와 손자손녀 세대가 어떻게 교류하고 이해하며 생활을 영위해나가는가 하는 양상을 고찰해 보았다. 이를 위해 그림책 7권을 분석대상으로 삼았다. 그림책은 할아버지와 손자녀와의 관계에 따라서 1) 이문화(異文化)로서의 할아버지와 손자손녀, 2) 성장과 추억을 함께하는 할아버지와 손자손녀, 3) 관계형성에 능동적이고 적극적인 손자손녀 등 3가지 유형으로 나누어서 분석했다. 무엇보다 조손 세대간의 상호작용과 함께 아이들의 모습에도 관심을 갖고자 했다. 분석 결과, 조부모와 손자녀라는 서로 다른 연령층의 사회 구성원이 서로 이해하고 신뢰할 뿐 아니라, 서로의 마음을 헤아리고 문제를 해결하는데 적극적으로 나서는 모습을 볼 수 있었다. 이는 기존 그림책의 모습에서 조금 더 새로워진 양상이라고 할 수 있다. 또한 할아버지와 손자녀의 관계는 매우 친밀하게 형성되어 있을 뿐 아니라, 일방적으로 받기만 하는 것이 아니라, 적극적으로 할아버지에 대한 애정과 관심을 표현하고 발전적인 관계를 형성하려는 손자 손녀들의 모습이 표현되어 있다는 점도 특징으로 꼽을 수 있다. 전통적인 가치관이 아닌 보다 확대된 인간관계 형성을 보이는 그림책으로 교육적인 측면에서도 주목할 필요가 있는 주제라고 할 수 있다.
Abstract
In this paper, we consider how the relationship between grandfather and grandchild was portrayed and how the generation of grandparents and grandchildren communicated, understood, and lived a life, targeting contemporary Korean picture books published after 2010. For this purpose, 7 selected picture books were analyzed. Picture books are analyzed by dividing them into three types according to the relationship between grandfathers and grandchildren: 1) grandfathers and grandchildren as a different culture, 2) grandfathers and grandchildren sharing mutual growth and memories, 3) It was analyzed by dividing them into three types: active and active grandchildren in relationship formation. Above all, we wanted to pay attention to the appearance of children along with the interaction between grandparents and grandchildren.As a result of the analysis, it was possible to see that members of society of different age groups, such as grandparents and grandchildren, not only understand and trust each other, but also actively sought to understand each other's minds and solve problems. This can be said to be a slightly newer aspect of the existing picture book. In addition, the relationship between grandfather and grandchildren is not only formed very intimately, but it is also characterized by the expression of grandchildren who actively express their affection and interest towards their grandfather, forming a developing relationship, rather than just receiving one-sidedly. It is a picture book that shows the formation of more expanded human relationships rather than traditional values, and it can be said that it is a subject that needs attention from an educational point of view.
