신성한 것의 현현, 그 두 가지 양상 ― 김지하의 후기시에 대하여 -

Abstract

This article examined Kim Ji-ha's latter poem books 『The suffering of Core』1994), 『Blooming』(2002) and 『Nomadism and Seclusion』(2004). And also, it reviewed the difference and continuity of those. 『Nomadism and Seclusion』 made a difference with 『The suffering of Core』, 『Blooming』, because it had a huge discourse and intellectual speaker about East Asia. In contrast, 『The suffering of Core』 and 『Blooming』 dealed with Kim Ji-ha's the small daily affairs and expressed the delicate emotions of lyrical speaker. But it's been commonly and continually that all of those three poem books had a special main theme about the something experienced sacredly by him. The experience was a revelation of the sacred, and that was always been consistent in those books. Kim Ji-ha's experiences of the sacred can be classified by two types. The one is 'the vertical revelation' in 『The suffering of Core』 and 『Blooming』. That could be experienced by feeling 'the nothing(無)' omnipresented in the "blue sky" or everywhere. And also, that was living in 'the breaks' of modern structure. The nothing(無) had movements at behind the phenomenal world. The moving nothing was invisible, infinite, cosmic, and holly. In poems, he had happened to meet sacredly the moving nothing appearing at now and here, and he writed it. The other is 'the horizontal revelation' in 『Nomadism and Seclusion』. Through this poem book, he was travelling all over East Asia's countries such as nomad. And then, he discovered the sacred life's traces of ancient countries of Korea. During the discovering, he's been desired and believed that the ancient life's holly values(peace, coexistence) will be repeatly revealed to the future history of East Asia. He's been convinced that the values of mythical origin will be embodied in historical time proceeding in accompany with a horizontal line.
