Abstract

This paper shows the carnival dimension on Kimjiha's poetry in the 1970s and the 1980s. The carnival poetics as Kimjiha's practical dimension is representative of Kimjiha's poetry. Especially, the carnival poetics is based on the dimension of the popular and the anti-modernistic on Kimjiha's poetry. I have named Kimjiha's poetry the Pansori-ballad, because his poetry are based on the Pansori with intend to scheme for the overthrow of the fascism government. Furthermore, his Pansori-ballad have sung the anti-imperialism. Ｂecause he has had an purpose to aim at the nationalism based on the Donghak-Revolution which means his poetry in the 1970s and the 1980s are the same origins. The difference of his poetry in the 1970s and the 1980s is that the poetry in the 1970s have been written by the mathod of the satire, and those in the 1980s have been written for the story of Donghak-Revolution. So his poetry in the 1970s and the 1980s written on the purpose of the carnival dimension are the same origins for the anti-imperialism.
