체육현상의 관점에서 바라본 다문화사회 체육의 역할

본 연구는 체육현상의 관점에서 바라본 다문화사회에서 체육의 역할을 탐색하는데 그 목적을 두었고, 문헌자료를 토대로 자료를 수집하였으며, 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 본 연구에서는 체육현상의 관점을 전문체육의 현상에 대한 이해, 생활체육의 현상에 대한 이해 그리고 학교체육의 현상에 대한 이해 등 세 가지 영역으로 구분하여 제시하였다. 그리고 학교체육의 관점에서 바라본 체육을 역할을 두 부분으로 나누어 탐색하였다. 먼저, 다문화사회의 통로 역할을 위해 체육과의 소통을탐색하였다. 그러고 나서 다문화사회에서 학교체육의 역할을 탐색하여 사회경제적 안전성 확보하기, 사회적 포용성으로 접근하기, 사회적 응집성으로 묶기 그리고 사회적 역능성으로 통합하기 등을 도출하였다. 첫째, 사회경제적 안전성 확보하기는 사회성원들이 경험하는 물질적, 환경적 자원에 대한 접근 가능성 정도를 의미한다. 둘째, 사회적 포용성으로 접근하기는 일상생활을 구성하는다양한 제도나 사회적 관계에 대한 접근 가능성을 의미한다. 셋째, 사회적 응집성으로 묶기는 구성원들 간의 결속과 유대의 정도를 지원하는 것을 의미한다. 넷째, 사회적 역능성으로 통합하기는 사회성원이 자신의 삶에 대한 제반 모습을 결정하는 역량과 능력을 발휘할 수 있는 정도를 의미한다. 다문화가정의 학생들은 학교생활에서 다양한 어려움을 겪고 있으나 체육수업을 가치 있게 생각하고 흥미를 갖고 참여하기 때문에 이들이 즐겁게 학교생활을 할 수 있도록 체육의 역할을 강화해야한다.
Abstract
This study investigated the role of physical education in a multicultural society in order to review the logic of the physical education phenomenon. The data were collected through documents. The physical education phenomenon in this multicultural society is threefold: first,expert physical education; second, elite physical education; and third, school physical education. On the other hand, the role of the teacher in a multicultural society is fourfold: first,socio-economic security; second, social inclusion; third, social coherence, and fourth, social empowerment. Students from multicultural families experience many difficult situations when they study in Korean schools. It is a compliment to physical education (P. E.) that students from multicultural families like it best and are interested in P. E. This study examined the role of school P. E. in multicultural education. It observed the directions of P. E. and of education in multicultural education. This study also suggests that the role of school P. E. and teachers in multicultural education be based on practice tasks for elementary school P. E.
