Abstract

Among the traditional cultures of Korea, China, and Japan, what monsters mean is various irrational and irrational stories that have been excluded as superstitions. In particular, the monster’s story, which enabled us to express the fundamental desires of fantasy and imagination in the human emotional realm, is amazing and bizarre, satisfying curiosity, stimulating the world of ingenious imagination, and has steadily established itself as one of the narrative cultures since ancient times. The monster was expressed as a negative image imposed on other beings, causing changes in values and fears, but if you look closely, their dissatisfaction expressed through imagination in terms of women’s desires and emotions suppressed and restrained by social order at the time. Most of the stories of monsters beyond the state and ethnicity were individuals who were sacrificed for the benefit of the majority in the name of common good among the interests of certain groups or organizations, including experts, who were the main characters of the tragedy, but had to end the story with a happy ending in the conflict between good and evil. Recently, it has been used for consumers such as novels, cartoons, movies, animations, games, and theme parks as a social deviation that combines negative images such as anxiety, fear, and darkness and rejects the existing system. It hasn’t been long since we entered our daily lives as familiar beings, but their scary veil is impressing modern people as part of their friends as the social atmosphere changes from negative images to changes in human daily life and relationships as guardians or friends. These efforts will greatly contribute to discovering human homogeneity, the subject of cultural practice, by expanding the perspective of monster culture around the three countries, Korea, China, and Japan, and narrowing the distance from monster culture between countries.
