The environmental problems caused by the fashion and texture sectors are not just today's problems, so discussions on sustainable development in this field continue steadily. Upcycling design has been developed and presented in academia and industry over the years as a way of dealing with these problems. upcycling design, which adds aesthetics to the existing recycling design, is also being named as “a new use design” in Seoul, encouraging development through various materials. Therefore, in this study, we would like to develop fabric designs using wallpaper materials that are largely discarded but not utilized. Unlike ordinary paper, wallpaper has a PVC coating, which makes it difficult to dispose of. Fabric designs developed using discarded wallpaper will be applicable as patterns for clothing and fashion accessories by utilizing DTP, an eco-friendly printing system. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to highlight the aesthetic and value of upcycling and to present the exploration and application of various materials.
