초록
Cervicofacial actinomycosis is a rare, chronic, suppurative infection caused by Actinomyces spp., with infrequent mandibular involvement. A 64-year-old male with end-stage renal disease on peritoneal dialysis presented with a mandibular mass and trismus. Imaging revealed osteolytic changes and a soft tissue lesion in the right mandible. Histopathology confirmed actinomycosis. The patient underwent surgical debridement and received a four-week course of antibiotics, resulting in complete recovery. Actinomycosis should be considered in chronic mandibular infections, particularly in immunocompromised individuals. Early diagnosis, guided antimicrobial therapy, and surgical intervention are essential for successful management.
