초록
Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly being integrated into workplace roles traditionally performed by humans. However, limited research explores how people perceive AI in evaluative contexts. This study investigates individuals' attitudes toward AI-powered evaluation systems, particularly the perspectives of decision makers and decision targets. Despite the widespread assumption that those in management roles (e.g., bank managers) would favor AI in evaluations more than applicants, our findings reveal a consistent preference for human evaluators over AI, regardless of role. This preference is driven by the perception that human decision makers provide greater fairness, outweighing the efficiency benefits associated with AI. These results offer insight into the lower-than-expected adoption of AI-powered evaluation systems, highlighting the persistent value placed on human judgment in business decision-making.
