SAFMEDS(Say All Fast a Minute Each Day Shuffled)를 통해 응용행동분석학과 관련된 용어(Cooper, Heron, & Heward, 2007)를 학습했을 때 용어를 맞추는 정반응률과 능숙도가 증가하는지 살펴보고, 응용행동분석적 접근을 사용한 행동치료 영상 기술 시 SAFMEDS를 통해 습득한 주요용어를 적절하게 사용하는지 알아보고자 하였다.
Abstract
We analyzed the effects of the implementation of the SAFMEDS (Say All Fast a Minute Every Day Shuffled) on the acquisition and usages of the applied behavior analysis terminology repertoires. Three graduate students participated in this study, who enrolled a graduate level course at a major university in a metropolitan area. A multiple probe design across participants was used to identify a potential functional relation between dependent and independent variables. The SAFMEDS strategy was employed for the participants to acquire applied behavior analysis terminology repertoires, a list of 70 terms and definitions from Cooper, Heron, and Heward (2007). The researchers and participants developed 70 term flash cards which showed a term definition on the front of the card and the term on the back. During the intervention, the participants were required to read the definition and to say its corresponding term. The results of this study indicated that the SAFMEDS would be effective to establish participants’ verbal repertoires in scientific terms of both accuracy and fluency and to use the terms to describe the instructions and behaviors shown on the ABA therapy session videos. The SAFMEDS procedure would be useful to train education professionals such as learners in special education as well as general education.
