진로정체감 유예 지위에 대한 고찰: 적응적 유예와 비적응적 유예의 비교

초록

본 연구는 우리나라 대학생 617명을 대상으로 Marcia의 정체감 지위 모델과 진로정체감지위평가 모델(Vocational Identity Status Assessment; VISA)을 사용하여 진로정체감 지위를 4개와 6개로 분류하고, 기존의 유예 지위가 적응적 유예와 부적응적 유예로 분류되는지와 탐색유예 지위가 기존 진로정체감의 성취 지위와 유예 지위로 분류되는지를확인하였다. 또한 적응적 유예와 부적응적 유예 사이에 진로태도성숙의 차이를 확인하였다. 첫째, 넓은 탐색, 깊은 탐색, 관여 형성, 관여 동일시의 4개 차원에 따라 분류한결과 우리나라 대학생의 진로정체감 단계는 4개의 단계로 유의미하게 분류되었으며, 넓은 탐색, 깊은 탐색, 관여 형성, 관여 동일시, 자기회의, 진로유연성의 6개 차원에 따라분류한 결과 우리나라 대학생의 진로정체감 단계는 6개의 단계로 유의미하게 분류되었다. 둘째, 4개 진로정체감의 유예 지위는 6개의 진로정체감 지위로 분류할 경우, 탐색유예, 유예, 미분화로 분류되었다. 셋째, 탐색유예 지위를 4개 진로정체감으로 분류할 경우, 성취, 유예, 유실로 분류할 수 있었다. 넷째, 적응적 유예 집단의 진로태도성숙이 부적응적 집단보다 유의미하게 높은 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 제한점과 후속연구에 대해 논의하였다.

Abstract

This research was performed to identify vocational identity status by comparing 4-factors and 6-factors models. We examined if moratorium status could be divided into good moratorium and bad moratorium. In addition, we examined if searching moratorium could be categorized into achievement and moratorium status. The total of 617 Korean college students participated in this study. The results are as follows. First, vocational identity status of college students were divided into four statuses by using four-factor model. In addition, we divided vocational identity status into six statuses by using six-factor model. Beyond Marcia’s four statuses, in this study, we identified two more statuses such as searching moratorium and undifferentiating statuses. Second, moratorium status was categorized into searching moratorium, moratorium and undifferentiating statuses. Third, searching moratorium status was categorized into achievement, moratorium status, and foreclosure status. Fourth, good moratorium group has much higher scores on career attitude maturity than bad moratorium group. The limitations of this study and suggestions for future studies were discussed.
