군포 속달 동래정씨 동래부원군 종택은 경기지역 민가들에서 보이는 건축요소들의집합체인 동시에 조선 후기 사대부가의 전형적인 특징들을 보인다. 현재의 종택을 구성하는 안채와 큰사랑채는 100여 년의 시차를 두고 건축되었지만, 후대에 건립된 큰사랑채는 기존 안채가 지니고 있던 건축적 질서에 순응함과 동시에 유교적 가치관을 더해 건립된 것으로 판단된다. 이에 이들의 유기적 관계 설정과 그로 인해 생성된 공간의 특성, 각기 건축물들의건축적 특징을 종합적으로 살펴볼 필요가 있다. 이러한 고찰을 통해 비로소 종택의가치를 올바르게 이해할 수 있을 것이며, 또한 종택을 단일의 유산이 아닌 지역과 시대적 맥락이 담긴 문화유산으로 새롭게 인식하는 계기를 제공할 것이다
Abstract
The Head House of Lord Dongnae from the Dongnae Jeong family in Sokdal village, Gunpo, Gyeonggi Province, exemplifies the architectural features of private residences in Gyeonggi Province during the late Joseon Dynasty. It also showcases the typical characteristics of the ruling class (sadaebu) homes of that era. The main house (anchae) and the large detached house (sarangchae) were constructed about 100 years apart, but the later-built sarangchae is thought to have adhered to the architectural style of the anchae while incorporating additional Confucian values. To fully appreciate the significance of these structures, it is essential to examine their interconnectedness, the spatial characteristics created through this relationship, and the unique architectural features of each building. Such an analysis can offer a deeper understanding of the value of this head house ( jongtaek), presenting it as a cultural heritage site that reflects the regional and historical context rather than merely a standalone artifact.
