지역사회 교육자원 연계 수업이란 지역사회에서 활용할 수 있는 교육자원을 교과 통합적 수업에 연계하는 것으로 지역사회기반 학습에 속한다. 지역사회 교육자원은 학습자의 삶과 연결하는 지역사회의 소재나 재료를 제공할 뿐만 아니라 시민으로서지역사회에 이슈에 대해 성찰할 수 있는 경험과 기회를 제공한다는 점에서 의미가 있다. 이에 본 연구는 지역사회 교육자원을연계한 수업을 설계하기 위해 이론적 틀로서 교육자원의 연계 의미와 교과 통합형 수업 설계를 위한 지역사회 교육자원 연계수업 모형인 CICER(Cross-curricular Integration Class engaging with Community Education Resources)에 근거하여 과학 및 기술·가정과 통합형 수업 사례를 제시하였다. 이러한 지역사회 교육 자원을 연계한 CICER 수업모형은 향후 기후 위기 생태환경교육이나 진로 연계 교육, 세계시민교육 등 다양한 범교과 주제를 활용하여 다양한 교과 및 비교과 프로그램에서 활용할 수 있으며, 특히 미래 사회를 살아가야 하는 학습자의 삶과 연계한 학습을 위해 학습 환경의 확장이라는 의미뿐만 아니라, 학습자의 주도성함양하기 위한 깊이 있는 학습을 위한 교수학습이라는 점에서 시사점을 줄 것으로 기대한다.
Abstract
Community-based educational resource integration refers to linking educational resources available within the community tocross-curricular lessons, falling under community-based learning. Community educational resources are significant because theynot only provide materials and contexts from the community that connect to learners’ lives but also offer experiences and opportunitiesfor reflection on community issues as citizens. Therefore, this study presents a case of integrated science and technology/home economics lessons designed based on the theoretical framework of CICER (Cross-curricular Integration Class engaging withCommunity Education Resources). This framework clarifies the meaning of linking educational resources and serves as a model fordesigning cross-curricular integrated lessons. This CICER model, which integrates community educational resources, can be appliedacross various subjects and extracurricular programs using diverse cross-curricular themes such as climate crisis and ecologicalenvironmental education, career-linked education, and global citizenship education. It is expected to offer implications not only forexpanding the learning environment to connect learning with learners’ lives in future society but also for fostering deep learningthrough teaching and learning that cultivates learner autonomy.
