간호대학생의 환자권리에 대한 인식과 윤리적 가치관이 생명의료윤리의식에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 간호대학생의 환자권리에 대한 인식, 윤리적 가치관 및 생명의료윤리의식 정도를 확인하고, 간호대학생의 생명의료윤리의식에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하고자 한다. 본 연구의 대상자는 B시와 K시에 소재한 4년제 3개의 간호대학 1,2,3,4 학년에 재학 중인 간호대학생을 232명을 대상으로 하였으며, 자료 수집은 2016년 3월 2일에서 3월 25일까지 시행되었다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 21.0 프로그램을 이용하여 실수와 백분율, 평균, 표준편차, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe' test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, Multiple regression analysis로 분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 환자권리에 대한 인식은 평균 4.56±0.38점, 윤리적 가치관은 평균 3.26±0.31점, 생명의료윤리의식은 평균 2.91±0.20점이었다. 대상자의 생명의료윤리의식은 환자권리에 대한 인식(r=.38 p<.001), 윤리적 가치관(r=.25 p<.001)과 유의한 양의 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 생명의료윤리에 영향을 미치는 주요 요인은 환자권리에 대한 인식(β=.359, p<.001), 윤리적 가치관(β=.133, p=.023)의 순으로 나타났다. 따라서 간호대학생들의 바람직한 생명의료윤리의식을 향상시키기 위해서 환자권리에 대한 인식 및 윤리적 가치관을 포함한 교육 프로그램 개발이 필요하다.
Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify nursing students’ perception of patient rights, their ethical values and biomedical ethics awareness, and to examine the factors affecting the nursing students’ biomedical ethics awareness. Methods: The participants of this study were 273 nursing students in B and K metropolitan city. Data collection was conducted through the structured questionnaires from March 2 to March 25, 2016. Data were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe’s test, Pearson’s correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis with SPSS WIN v 21.0. Results: The mean scores of nursing students’ perception of patient rights, ethical values and biomedical ethics awareness were 4.56±0.38, 3.26±0.31, 2.91±0.20, respectively. Biomedical ethics awareness was positively correlated with the nursing students’ perceptions of patient rights (r=.38, p<.001) and ethical values (r=.25, p<.001). Factors affecting the nursing students’ biomedical ethics awareness were the perception of patient rights (β=.36, p<.001) and ethical values (β=.13, p=.023). Conclusion: The results suggest that nursing educational program should include perception of patient rights and ethical values to foster biomedical ethics awareness for nursing students.
