초록
Photovoltaic/thermal (PVT) systems simultaneously generate electricity using photovoltaic (PV) modules and recover thermal energy for applications like space heating and domestic hot water. Air-based PVT systems that use air as the heat transfer medium offer easier integration into building systems than the liquid-based alternatives. When coupled with an air-source heat pump, the thermal energy harvested by the air-based PVT collector serves as an auxiliary heat source for the heat pump. This integration is particularly beneficial during the heating season, when the performance of air-source heat pumps typically declines because of low outdoor air temperatures. The combined system can reduce electricity consumption and enhance the thermal efficiency by preheating the air supplied to the heat pump. In this study, a demonstration experiment was conducted to evaluate the performance of a heat pump system that utilizes thermal energy from an air-based PVT system. It was experimentally analyzed the thermal and electrical performance of the PVT system and the overall energy performance of the heat pump system.
