중동 지역 국가들은 내부적으로 독재와 권위주의 권력의 퇴행, 이슬람교 내의 종파 갈등, 각 정파 간의 이해관계가 얽혀 있는 혁명과정, 그리고 그 틈바구니에서 급부상한 이슬람국가(IS)가 야기하는 지정학적 문제들이 갈수록 복잡하게 얽히고 있는 실정이다. 특히 이슬람의 순니파와 시아파의 끝없는 분쟁과 피의 전쟁을 일삼는 이슬람국가(IS)는 유럽 각국을 향한 테러와 폭력 사태들을 자행하고 있어 유럽 뿐 아니라 전 세계의 위협이 되고 있다. 이러한 상황에서 유럽이 이슬람교로부터 안전한가를 점검하면서 기독교 선교가 어떻게 대응하고 이를 위한 전략을 세울 수 있는지에 대한 점검이 필요하다. 11세기 이후 이슬람은 튀르크족과의 만남과 오스만 제국의 부흥의 여파로 크게 확대되었다. 오늘날 유럽 내에서 이슬람의 영향력은 크게 확대되어 유럽 사회 전체가 흔들리고 있는 상황이다. 이는 이슬람이 다각적인 다와 정책을 시행하고, 유럽 사회가 다원적 가치와 개인의 지위를 강조하면서 유럽 사회에서 기독교 정체성이 몰락하고 기독교 신학에 대한 의문이 점점 증가했기 때문이다. 또한 서구사회의 수용적 다원화된 문화는 타문화의 유입을 용이하게 만들었으며, 유럽 사회 내에서 정치 교육의 정체성이 붕괴되고, 이슬람의 막강한 경제력과 이주민들을 통한 정착이 크게 증가하면서 유럽 내에서 이슬람의 세력은 점점 더 막강하게 되었다. 그러므로 유럽 내에 이슬람화를 막기 위한 기독교적 선교 대응이 절실하다. 무엇보다 복음과 기독교 세계관의 확립을 위한 노력이 뒷받침되어야 하며, 복음의 핵심인 예수 그리스도를 통해 무슬림들의 영혼을 깨우는 작업을 해야 한다. 또한 다양한 다와 정책을 통해 그 영향력을 확장하고 있는 이슬람을 향한 선교를 위해서는 그들에 대한 정확하고 분명한 지식을 갖추고 사역에 대비할 필요가 있다. 오늘날 이슬람교는 이슬람법인 샤리아에 의해서 통치되는 이슬람 국가 건설을 위해 다양한 다와 정책을 펼치고 있다. 그러므로 이슬람이 전 세계를 향한 다와 정책과 이슬람화의 일들을 계획하는 이유와 그 배후가 무엇인지를 분명하게 알아야 한다. 더불어 치열한 영적 전쟁의 한 가운데 서 있는 유럽과 세계교회는 이슬람보다 더 지혜롭지 않으면 안 된다. 결국 오늘의 교회와 선교사는 이슬람보다 더 조직적이고 전략적이면서 동시에 열정적이어야 하며, 헌신으로 복음을 전해야 할 것이다
Abstract
The problems in the Middles East countries are becoming increasingly complicated with the regression of tyranny and authoritarian power, sectarian conflicts within Islam, the revolutionary process in which different factions’ interests are intertwined, and the geopolitical problems caused by the rapidly emerging Islamic State (IS). In particular, the endless conflict between the Muslim Sunni and Shiite factions, and the IS, is causing bloody wars, terror and violence within other countries. This is a threat not only in Europe but also to the whole world. Under these circumstances, it is necessary to check whether Europe is safe from Islamism and how the Christian mission can respond and develop mission strategies. Since the 11th century, Islam has greatly expanded in the aftermath of the Turks and the revival of the Ottoman Empire. Today, the influence of Islam in Europe is greatly expanded and the whole European society is in a state of turmoil. This is due to the implementation of Islamic multilateral Dawa policies, the decline of the Christian identity after the emphasis on multidisciplinary values and individual status, and the growing question of Christian theology within the European society. As the acceptable cultures within the Western society have made it easier for other culture to come in, and the identity of political education in Europe has collapsed, the economic strength of Islam and settlement through immigrants have increase dramatically and Islam has become increasingly more powerful in Europe. Therefore, it is urgently needed for the churches to take steps to prevent Islamism in Europe in terms of mission. Above all, the efforts to establish the Gospel and Christian world view must be supported and to wake the souls of Muslims through Jesus Christ, who is the heart of the Gospel. With the Islamic world; expanding its influence through Dawa policies, missionaries need to be prepare their ministry with precise and unambiguous knowledge about Muslims. Today, Islam is using a variety of Dawa policies to build an Islamic state ruled by its Islamic organization, Sharia. This paper discusses why Muslim enact Dawa policies and Islamism around the world, and what is behind them. In addition, the churches in Europe and in the world; must be wiser than Islamtheir Islamic counterparts. Contempory churches and missionaries must be more organized, strategic, and passionate than Islam, and must deliver the Gospel with dedication.
