Abstract
This article aims to show 'the peace economy theory' as the theoretical framework of formation of economic community between South Korea and North Korea. The Peace economy pursues the interaction or synergy between the peace and economy. Peace economy aims at circulation of peace and economy. Peace economy theory stands on the basis of Free Market (Capitalist) Peace theory contrary to the Democratic Peace. By the free market peace, the pursuit of open free market and economic common interests prevent conflict and discord between countries and lead to peace. The creation of capitalist free market and common interests make war unnecessary. This theory puts emphasis on the free market, not on democratization in North Korea. This lays emcontinental economy as pushing forward the strategies for peace economy on the basis of free market peace. And this paper reminds of the 'Development Cooperation' with North Korea.
