초록
This study examined the effect of differentiation of self on healthy family functioning among 685 individuals residing in China, South Korea, Taiwan, and the United States. An ANCOVA analysis showed that the four country groups had significantly different mean scores in their levels of differentiation of self. A MANCOVA analysis showed that higher levels of differentiation of self were significantly associated with higher levels of family functioning, family communication, and family satisfaction regardless of the different country groups. Implications for clinical practice and future research are discussed.
