신체활동중심의 치료 레크리에이션 활동이 정신지체아동의 적응행동 및 정서적 행동에 미치는 효과

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of therapeutic recreation activity of physical activity on adaptive behavior and emotional behavior in children with mental retardation. The subjects were 40 children with mental retardation. The therapeutic recreation activities consisted of rhythmical group game and sports skill activities. These activities were administered for a duration of 32 weeks. The test of adaptive behavior was used by the K-ABS(Korean-Adaptive Behavior Scale). The emotional behavior test was used by the Emotional Behavior Checklist of McCarron-Dial Systems. The major finding of this study was that the experimental group participated therapeutic recreation activity showed significant increase(p<.001) in adaptive behavior and emotional behavior level, but not in control group. It could be concluded in this study that continual participation in therapeutic recreational activities by children with mental retardation, will help to increase their adaptive and emotional behavior levels in a positive way.
