Abstract

This paper has two purposes. One is to introduce an example of utilizing local resources. The other is a discussion of the results of regional revitalization and their implications. In this paper, Okayama Maniwa City and Shimane Amacho are analyzed as examples. This example also focuses on regional resources and New Normal Values. In this case, technologies and resources that the region doesn't have are procured by utilizing relation resources. Local governments are in charge of the most important role in the regional revitalization process. The value and psychological factors of the people involved are also important factors in success. The examples biomass businesses include, the biomass power generation, the biomass refinery business using regional wooden resources biomass tour in Maniwa city, and so on. For these businesses, a new system was established for supplying wooden resources stably, and Maniwa city aims to build biomass industry as a secondary product industry to its of forest industry. Although these are many resources for biomass industry in Maniwa city, it may be possible for other regions to use regional resources and crate a new industry a new industry like Maniwa city. Amacho is going to bring up a talented person with the will to return to make work in a favorite island not a talented person of the passiveness not to be able to return because there is not work. It is a long-standing story, but the result will come out in 10 years.
