이 글은 2025년 8월 31일 자로 발표한 ‘『동의보감』초고본에 관한 연구’의 후속편이다. 앞서 원고 분량 때문에 미처 못한 말들을 이 글에 담았다. 초고본임을 밝혀줄 ‘유력한 증거물’도 추가로 제시하였다. 아울러 초고본과 최종본의 항목, 약 처방 및 병증(病證) 설명의 가짓수 등을 빠르게 확인할 수 있도록 도표를 작성하여 부록에 실었다. 이 글에서 말하는 초고본의 구체적인 의미는 ‘초기 형태의 원고본’을 가리킨다. ‘초고본의 입수 경위’부터 순차적으로 서술하여 초고본임을 열 가지로 증명하고자 하였다. 초고본의 특징이 ‘산삭(刪削)’ 아닌 ‘증보(增補)’를 통한 발전적 변화에 있는 만큼, 대표적인 보완 사례, 항목과 내용 설명의 불일치를 교정한 사례, 초고본 내용을 최종본에서 삭제한 대표적인 사례 등을 소개함으로써, 초고본의 진위가 자연스럽게 드러나도록 하였다.
Abstract
This article succeeds the thesis, ‘A Study on the Draft Edition of DongEuiBoGam’, released on the 31st of August, 2025. This article contains the content that I could not put in the thesis to meet its pages properly. In this article, I additionally suggest several ‘clear evidences’ showing that the DongEuiBoGam under this study is its draft edition. In the appendix, furthermore, I insert a diagram that makes it possible to clearly show the table of contents of the draft edition and the final edition, number of kinds of prescription of medicine, explanation of disease symptom and etc. In this article, the draft edition particularly means ‘the early-stage manuscript form of book’, about which I consecutively describe from ‘the work to obtain the draft edition’ to prove that it is the true draft edition with ten evidences. Furthermore, I highlight again the point that the draft edition is characterized in the advanced change through not ‘simplifying’ but ‘complementing’. Then, I introduce representative cases of complementing, cases of correcting the discords between the table of contents and explanation of contents, representative cases of deleting content of the draft edition from the final edition and so on, through which the authenticity of the draft edition can be naturally emerging.
