플라스틱 해양 환경교육 프로그램이 초등학생의 해양환경 인식 및 생태적 감수성에 미치는 영향

Abstract

In this study, we developed a plastic marine environment education program and applied it to elementary school students to investigate the effect on marine environment awareness and ecological sensitivity. The results of this study are as follows. First, the plastic marine environment education program had a positive effect on elementary school students' awareness of the marine environment. Compared to before the application of the program, after the application of the program, there was a significant improvement in all areas of awareness of the marine environment, interest in the marine environment, attitude toward the marine environment, function of the marine environment, and preservation of the marine environment. Second, the plastic marine environment education program had a positive effect on the ecological sensitivity of elementary school students. Compared to before applying this program, students' ecological sensitivity improved after applying the program in all areas of interest in nature, aesthetic experience in nature, emotional stability, and sympathy for nature. Third, elementary school students showed high interest and behavioral change in the plastic marine environment education program. As a result of the analysis of the student interviews, they became more interested in the plastic marine environment problem after the program was applied to the class than before the program was implemented, and they showed efforts to reduce the use of plastic in their daily lives. Through the above research results, it is judged that the plastic marine environment education program had a positive effect on the awareness of the marine environment and ecological sensitivity of elementary school students.
