Abstract
A Study on Gui You Guang's Explanatory TheoryThe core of Gui You-guang’s explanatory theory is original-change (Zheng-bian). It emphasizes on the importance of the original itself. But meanwhile, to some extent, his theory also encourages readers to give their own explanation freely. Gui You-guang attempts to keep balance between the essence of the original and the explanation of various readers. This attempt is embodied in his criticism of Shi ji(史).
