Abstract

No the record exists of the ceremony for the Tenji emperorꋪꋪrecovery in the ꡔnihonsyokiꡕ. but we can think that the empress did the ceremony for the Tenji emperorꋪꋪrecovery in the court. On the basis of the dualism of body and soul that if soul were separated from body one become to die, I think that in order to be restored to health, the ceremony to Heaven was done by the Tenji emperorꋪꋪharem. The emperor of Japan lyeng is always abundant in heaven without regard to the emperorꋪꋪhealth. When it enters into oneꋪꋪs body. one is to be the emperor. but When it is separated from oneꋪꋪs body. one is to die. The poem that song this recognition is the 2-147song. The soul which comes out separating from the Tenjiꋪꋪbody is coming and going the mysterious tree. The poem that song this recognition is the 2-148song. When the Tenji emperorꋪꋪharem perceived intuitively the fact the recovery of her husband is impossible and he dies, she song the sadness.
