Abstract

The book named "Jianzhou Information Record(建州聞見錄)" was written by Shen Zhongyi(申忠一), the Korean officer. He drew the relief map specifically and recorded what he saw and what he heard on the way to Nuerhachi's home for sending a letter. It is the most important document that recorded the actualities about the early period of Manzhou(滿州). It said that the family name of Nuerhachi (努爾哈赤)was Tong (佟) accurately. Nvzhen (女眞)people lived by farming and the cultivation was regard as their main living. Nuerhachi brothers were well matched in strength. Their military organization was called 'ten banners'. Nuerhachi were swallowing up the entire Manzhou and the neighbouring Mongol tribes. All his sisters got married to the Tong (童)family for enforcing and extending his power. During this period, Nuerhachi was not strong enough, so he was respectful to Korea and Ming Dynasty. All of theses were different with the historical records that wrote in Qing Dynasty.
