袁宏道 游記산문의 창작론과 수사기교 - ‘直寄’와 直喩를 중심으로

만명(晩明) 시기 원굉도(袁宏道)는 많은 문학작품을 창작하였는데, 특히 유기산문은 주목할 만한 좋은 작품이 많다. 그는 유기산문 작품에 직기의 창작방법을 통해 작품을 창작하면서 적절한 직유의 수사기교를 사용해 유람의 과정에서 눈앞에 보이는 여러 가지 모습을 대단히 실감나게 잘 묘사해내고 있다. 새로움에 대한 수용을 있는 그대로 적어내는 직기의 창작방법에다 직유의 수사기교로써 많이 표현해내었던 것이다. 원굉도는 좋은 문학작품이란 직기의 창작방법을 통해 작가의 진실한 감정을 거침없이 서술해 내는 것이라고 생각했기에 유기산문 창작에 있어 자신에게 보인 자연 경관에 대한 생동적 묘사와 자신이 느낀 형상과 감정을 직유의 수사기교를 많이 활용하여 잘 표현해냄으로써 작품의 완성도를 높이고 예술성을 더하였던 것이다. 이에 본고에서는 원굉도 유기산문에 사용되어진 직기 창작론과 직유 수사기교의 특징을 경관의 표현, 형상의 표현, 감정의 표현 부분으로 나누어 살펴 원굉도 유기산문 작품의 깊은 의미를 고찰해보았다.
Abstract
In the late Ming Dynasty, the Gong-an School, a literary group was led by Yuan Hong-dao. Yuan Hong-dao was the leader of the Gong-an School. Yuan Hong-dao exerted a great influence on the development of late Ming literary criticism. The literary theory of Yuan Hong-dao is very important in the late Ming literary world. The late Ming essay have very special meaning in chinese classical prose. Yuan Hong-dao's essay is a part of the late Ming essays. The landscape essay is one of the important parts in Yuan Hong-dao's essays. Yuan Hong-dao's landscape essay has many rhetorical techniques. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the literary creative theory and rhetorical technique of Yuan Hong-dao in his landscape essays. We believe that the comprehensive understanding about the literary creative theory and rhetorical technique of Yuan Hong-dao in his landscape essays will bring us the right direction to understanding of Yuan Hong-dao's literature and literary criticism.
