중국고전극교육방법에 대한 모색

Abstract

Searching for a Education Method on Chinese Traditional Theatre Kim, Young-mi This article deals with education methods on Chinese traditional theatre in Korea. There are Three different ways. First one is a literal point of view. It follows Wang guowei(王國維)'s idea, making traditional Chinese theatre in line with chinese poetry tradition, "shi(詩)-ci(詞)-qu(曲)". It starts from Yuan(元) Dynasty "Zhaju(雜劇)". So this way does not include before-Yuan Dynasty play which contains various religious services, but after-Yuan Dynasty's writing record.Second education method deals with artistic element of performance. It uses VCR or Slide Film unlike first education method which uses "document-reading records". Even though this method is effective to explain Chinese traditional theatre, it has two difficulties. One difficulty is from its irresolvable dialect, the other is its too various forms of performance. So if teacher use this method on college class, he or she cannot help but provide students with understandable image texts to make them understood.Last one belongs to so-called "Culture Studies". Of course, we consider drama as a kind of culture. However, from a more specific point of view, if we make 'tradition' belong to contemporary culture, we could easily be fallen into a fallacy of having a fake image, instead of real one, in understanding contemporary Chinese Culture. Therefore, if we would put tradition into culture category, the right direction will be two types. First, traditional theatre should not belong to "Introduction of cultural living of Chinese" but "A Study on traditional performances". Second, we should focus on separate forms of traditional performances as well as regional studies, for instance, rural living style, a study on a dialect and so on. Furthermore, the education must be dealt by real experts in Graduate School level.
