Abstract
The development of China and Taiwan’s cross-strait relations is a major concern of the world. China’s cross-strait relations is a honeymoon situation in a current economic and private exchange, but the conflict is clearly politically and military and is one of key elements which the peace and safety in Taiwan strait are considered when discussed the safety of the Asia-Pacific organizations international. Taiwan’s President Ma Ying-jeou has a tendency of ‘pro-economy’ and ‘pro-China’. During the presidential election, he emphasized to improve relations with China for the economic recovery. Therefore, election of the Ma Ying-jeou indicates more emphasize the economic symbiosis and peaceful coexistence with China contrast to Democratic Progressive Party which claims independent of Taiwan.
