초록

This paper is divided into five chapters, first, researched literature reviews and the discourse of nationalism, neo-nationalism. Second, focused on the formation of development of Chinese neo-nationalism, third, contemplation of the cases of neo-nationalism: bombing of China’s embassy, etc. The nationalism is one of the most important and influential political ideology in the World and it has the important influence to the Chinese government’s legitimacy and its strong foreign policy. But the Chinese government was faced with a crisis of legitimacy in the late 1980. In order to overcome the legitimacy crisis needs a new thing, they emphasized patriotism. Also, Chinese people wanted a strong China, so neo-nationalism was formed. Neo-nationalism called for China government makes a strong foreign policy. But other countries worry that China’s strong foreign policy based on the neo-nationalism will be an anti-status quo power and threat to the international political and economic system.
