顧況 시의 성격과 문학사적 의의

In history of Chinese literature, the poets of the Da-li and Zhen-yuan, far from having exerted themselves to pioneering a new poetic realm, had pursued the beauty and exquisiteness of a poetic form, as they reminisced the High Tang. As a result, the poetic style in their times became ostentatious. At such times, Gu Kuang left many poems which dealt with various social problems, which were full of romantic flavor. His poetry, on the one hand, is popular, but on the other hand, is strange. This is the result that Gu Kuang was not only influenced by folk songs but also pursued new method of expression. The trend of creative poetry and method of expression cast long shadows to major poets of the Yuan-he, such as Han Yu and Meng Jiao, Yuan Zhen and Bai Ju-yi. In this regard, it is considered that Gu Kuang's poetry had its important place in the history of Tang poetry.
