이 연구는 가난 극복의 경험을 주제로 하고 있다. 다차원적 측면 가난으로 인해 개인이 경험하는 내외적 갈등 양상을 살펴봄으로써 가난의 심리내적, 관계적 측면을 어떻게 다룰 것인지에 대한 함의를 제시하고자 하였다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 자기 관찰 및 분석지, 대화, SNS 덧글 등의 자료를 수집하였다. 자료를 지속적으로 검토하면서 분석하였고, 주요한 범주를 도출하였다. “수치와 불안으로서의 가난”을 통해서 가난이 드러나는 것에 대한 두려움과 그로 인한 불일치와 불안 등의 문제가 있음을 알 수 있었다. “욕망에 대한 자기 처벌적 태도”을 통해서는 가난을 벗어나기 위한 과정에서 욕망에 대해 인정하지 못하고, 주체적인 삶을 사는 것에 대한 혼란을 경험하고 있음을 기술하였다. “가난 치료제: 마음을 알아주는 관계”를 통해서는 가난으로부터의 온전한 회복이 좋은 관계의 충분한 경험에 기인하고 있음을 기술하였다. 이 연구가 가난의 다차원적 문제로 인해 어려움을 겪고 있는 이들의 역동을 이해하고, 치유의 단서를 제공하는데 기여하기를 기대한다.

Abstract

This study is concerned with the experiences of overcoming poverty. I would like to propose how to deal with intrapsychic and relational aspects of poverty through investigating the internal and external conflicts conditions experienced by multidimensional poverty. To this end, I collected self-observation and self-analysis memos, dialogues, SNS comments, etc. I continually analysed resources and drew some major categories. “Poverty as shame and anxiety” is related to dissonance and anxiety caused by fear that psychological poverty may become known. “Self-punishment for desire” is related to disapprovals on desires to overcome poverty and disorders to be an agent for their own life. “Poverty cure: empathic relationships” is about to the enough experiences of good relations for pleasing recovery of the poverty. This study is expected to contribute to understanding dynamics of people suffering from the difficulties of multidimensional poverty, and reasoning out some implications of solutions.
