Abstract
Achieving whole brain emulation by closely modelling the computational structure of cerebral operation is the final goal of AI research. We can saflely assume that the success in such ambitious software engineering will make the advent of so-called Strong AI possible. Now, - setting the problem of feasiblity aside - we have to ask a question to what extent Strong AI would serve useful purpose. However, more importantly, we have to reckon with the possibility that, before we can answer the question concernig the Strong AI, we might encounter with another far more urgent problem; even on the level of Weak AI a sort of Superinteligence can possibly begin its existence. In this paper I will discuss the possible advent of Superintelligence and make some reflections on what we can do to safeguard against the dangers which Superintelligence might incur.
