본 연구는 빌 코터(Bill Cotter)의 「절대 누르면 안 돼!」와 「절대 만지면 안 돼」그림책을 해석학적순환 방법으로 물질성을 분석하였다. 텍스트 읽기, 그림 읽기, 텍스트와 그림 함께 읽기 등을 통해 연쇄적인이해의 폭을 확장하였고, 물질성의 이론적 개념과 담론을 활용하여 그림책을 분석하고자 하였다. 연구결과는첫째, 빨간 단추와 래리 책의 생기성과 규칙의 반복으로 생성되는 사물 권력은 그림책의 행위성을 드러내어주었다. 둘째, 내밀한 감응으로 함께 얽히고 친구가 되면서 관계적 만남으로 얽히는 감응의 장이 되었다. 셋째 아이러니한 촉감적 시공간과 전복과 생성이 일어나는, SF적 시공간은 그림책과 독자의 발현적 시공간을마련해 주었다. 본 연구는 그림책에 대한 이해는 글과 그림의 관계뿐만 아니라 생동하는 물질성으로 접근할수 있다는 관점을 제공한다. 이러한 물질성은 비유기적 물질과 인간을 관계적 얽힘으로 바라봄으로써 그림책을 해석하는 새로운 시선을 제공할 것으로 기대한다. 이러한 관점은 오감으로 물질적 세계를 만나는 유아의세계를 인간중심 담론을 넘어 물질세계와 얽힌 포스트휴먼 담론으로 확장하여 이해하는 안목을 제공해 줄수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
In this study, Bill Cotter's Don't Push the Button! and Don't Touch This Book! 「」「 」 picture books were analyzed using hermeneutic circle. The results of the study revealed: first, the vitality of red buttons and Larry's book and the vitality of matter as the power of things created by repetition of rules. Second, it became a place of sensitivity that became entangled together with inner sensitivity and became friends, intertwined with relational encounters. Third, the characteristics of time and space are ironic tactile, consisting of the time and space of SF in which subversion and generation take place, and the time and space in which picture books and readers interact. This study provides a view that understanding picture books can be approached not only by the relationship between writing and painting but also by vivid materiality. This materiality is expected to provide a new perspective on interpreting picture books by looking at them as relational entanglement between organic materials and humans.
