본 연구는 중등교사의 자아존중감과 다문화 교육역량의 관계에서 인권의식의 매개효과와 다문화 교육연수가 매개효과를 조절하는 조절된 매개효과를 나타내는지 검증해 보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 전국에 에 위치한 중학교와 고등학교 교사 200명을 대상으로 설문조사 기관에 설문을 의뢰하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 27.0과 SPSS PROCESS macro 4.2를 사용하여 분석하였고, 다음과 같은 결론을 도출하였다. 첫째, 자아존중감과 다문화 교육역량 간의 관계에서 인권의식이 부분 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 인권의식과 다문화 교육역량의 관계에서 다문화 교육연수의 조절효과를 확인한 결과, 인권의식과 다문화 교육역량의 관계에서 다문화 교육연수가 조절한다는 것을 확인하였다. 셋째, 자아존중감과 다문화 교육역량의 관계를 인권의식이 매개하고 이를 다문화 교육연수가 조절하는 조절된 매개효과가 확인되었다. 이러한 연구 결과들을 통해 자아존중감, 인권의식, 다문화 교육역량의 관계를 확인할 수 있었으며, 다문화 교육연수가 다문화 교육역량에 대한 강화역할을 하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 마지막으로, 본 연구를 토대로 연구의 의의와 한계에 대해 논의하였다.
Abstract
This study aimed to verify whether human rights awareness mediates the relationship between self-esteem and multicultural educational competency in adolescents, and whether multicultural educational training program experience moderates this mediation effect. A total of 318 secondary school teacher participated in this study. Data were analyzed using the SPSS 29.0 program and the SPSS PROCESS macro 4.2. The results of the study are as follows. First, there were significant correlations among self-esteem, human rights awareness, multicultural educational competency, and multicultural educational training program experience. Second, human rights awareness was found to mediate the relationship between self-esteem and multicultural educational competency. Third, multicultural educational training program experience moderated the relationship between human rights awareness and multicultural educational competency. Lastly, human rights awareness mediated the relationship between self-esteem and multicultural educational competency, with this mediation effect being moderated by multicultural educational training program experience. The implications and limitations of this study are discussed.
