대학 R&D재정지원의 매개효과와 기술이전성과 영향요인 연구

초록

기업가적 대학 성과로서 기술이전이 주목받고 있다. 최근 지식정보사회로의 전환 및 과학기술 발전의 흐름 속에서 대학패러다임이 변화하였고, 국가혁신체제 하의 대학-산업-정부 간 상호협력 관계에 있어서 대학이 중요한 혁신 주체로서 기대되고 있기 때문이다. 따라서 본 연구는 대학 성과 측면에서 대학 기술이전성과 창출 영향요인을 분석하고자 하였다. 특히 학문자본주의 관점에서 대학 기술이전성과 창출을 위한 R&D재정지원의 매개효과를 분석하였다. 분석결과 첫째, 대학의 인적역량 및 조직･인프라가 대학 기술이전성과에 영향을 미침을 확인하였다. 둘째, R&D재정지원의 매개효과 분석결과로 교내 R&D재정지원은 인적역량이 기술이전성과에 미치는 영향을 완전 매개하였다. 셋째, 정부 R&D재정지원 및 민간 R&D재정지원은 인적역량과 조직인프라가 기술이전성과에 미치는 영향을 부분 매개하였다. 마지막으로 기술이전 영향요인 분석 및 R&D재정지원 매개효과 분석에 있어서 교원의 해외특허실적은 유의미한 결과를 나타내지 않았다. 이들 연구결과로부터 대학의 기술이전성과 창출 및 R&D재정 확보를 위한 대학 자체의 자발적 노력과 정부, 민간 재정지원의 전략적 함의를 도출하고자 하였다.

Abstract

This study is focused on technology transfer and the entrepreneurial university. Recently, paradigm in the university has been shifted; influenced by the flow of scientific and technological development in the modern society. The university becomes one of the most significant actors of innovation in the relationship with the industry and the government under NIS(National Innovation System). Under this circumstance, this study is conducted to analyze the affecting factors and their performance of technology transfer in the university in discussion of its entrepreneurial quality. Especially, the mediating effects of R&D funding is discussed from the view of academic capitalism. First, the result shows the university’s technology transfer performance is affected by human resources and organization/infrastructure of the university. Second, in the result for the mediating effect analysis, the intramural R&D funding shows a full impact on the influence from human resource and organization/infrastructure to the university’s technology transfer. Third, R&D funding from government and industry shows partial mediating impact on the influence from human resource and organization/infrastructure to the university’s technology transfer. Finally, the number of international patents of the professor does not show any significant mediating effect on the technology transfer. The results from this study would suggest the most beneficial in terms of transferring technology and secure R&D funding; the university’s spontaneous effort and funding from government and industry.
