봉우 권태훈(1900~1994)은 우리나라의 단학의 역사에 큰 족적을 남긴 사람이다. 그는 조선 말기에 태어나 20세기 말까지 다양한 삶을 살았다. 그가 주장하는 사상의 핵심은 ‘대황조’ 사상이라고 할 수 있다. 우리 역사는 仙人의 영도 아래 발전했으며, 현재는 물론 미래에도 새로운 선인의 출현으로 역사의 발전이 가능하다고 보았다. 그는 무엇보다 민족 정체성의 확립과 민족적 자존감을 회복하려는 노력을 통해 우리 민족을 일깨우고자 했다. 특히 황백전환론과 백산대운론의 주장을 통해 민족 정체성을 확립하려고 했다. 나아가 이를 민족 내부의 문제로 국한시키지 않고, 세계사적인 시각으로 확대시켰다는 데 의미가 크다. 세계 인류 문명 차원의 전환으로 보아야 한다는 거시적인 관점으로 민족문제를 인식했던 것이다. 물론 그 이론의 종착점은 세계 인류의 공동 번영과 평화의 정착이었다. 단지 우리 민족 내부의 문제로 그치는 것이 아니라, 범세계적인 관점으로 확대시킨 것이다. 우리 민족은 백두산족의 중심, 황백전환을 주도해야 하는 민족, 대황조의 가르침인 홍익인간의 이념을 실현시켜 세계 평화를 이루어야 하는 민족이라는 것이 봉우의 현실인식 및 사상의 핵심인 것이다.
Abstract
Bongwoo Kwontaehoon(1900~1994) is a person who left a great mark on the history of “Danhak” in Korea. He was born at the late of Joseon Danasty and lived a various lives during the end of the 20th century. The core of his thoughts is an idea of “Daehwangjo”. Our history has developed under the leadership of hermit as well as the emergence of Hermit who possibly develop the history both in present and the future. Above all, he tried to awaken his efforts to establish our national identity and tried to restore national self-esteem. Especially, he tried to establish a national identity through “Hwangbaek’s conversion theory” as well as “Backsan’s great fortune theory”. Furthermore, it is meaningful that it expanded world view of vision rather than limiting the inside of nation problem. It was recognition of a macro point of view that we should see it as a transformation of the world civilization level. Moreover, the end point of theory was the common prosperity and peace of the world. It is not just an issue within the in side of nation, but it was extended to a global perspective. According to Bongwoo’s theory, the people who need to lead the transition, as well we our nation of people should realize world peace by realizing the ideology of “humanitarianism” based on the center of “Baekdusan” tribe in our nation.
