As the trade between Korea and China increases, Korean agricultural export and import become more and more dependent upon China. In order to analyze the possibilities of international division of labor and intra-industry trade within the agricultural sector, this study has measured the market comparative advantage (MCA) indices of both countries. The number of Chinese agricultural products that retain comparative advantage in the Korean market was almost 6 fold of that of Korean items which hold comparative advantage in China. In such an unbalanced structure of comparative advantages, agricultural trade may show one-sided complementary inter-relation of exporting China and importing Korea. As a result, the intra-industry trade of agricultural products should be difficult after the FTA between Korea and China.
