After the declaration of ecomic reform in 1978, the Township & Village Enterprises(TVEs) had achieved remarkable achievements from 1980s to early 1990s. They acted very significant roles not only in the rural economy, but also in the whole Chinese economy. But during 1990s the role and importance of the TVEs became less and less. It was one of the main reason of recent Three Agrarian Issues(San Nong in Chinese; agriculture, countryside & farmers). But, it may sound paradoxical, because of very the raeson, the essential clue for the solution of these problems can be and should be find in TVEs. Recently, the TVEs are recording new growth. TVEs became more profitable, large-sized, employment-created and internationalized. Therefore, we Korean researchers and firms should give more attention on and accurately understand on the recent growth and the new status of the TVEs.
Abstract
