자기효능감․개인배경․맥락적 변인이 청소년의 진로미결정 수준 변화에미치는 영향에 관한 종단연구

초록

본 연구는 한국청소년패널 2, 3, 4, 5차년도 종단자료를 바탕으로 중학교 3학년부터 고등학교 3학년까지의 진로미결정 변화를 살펴보고, 개인배경변인과 사회인지적 변인이 진로미결정수준 변화를 유의하게 예측하는지 다층선형모형을 통해 살펴보았다. 그 결과, 청소년의 진로미결정수준은 학년이 올라갈수록 유의미하게 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 중학교 3학년 시기에는 여학생들의 진로미결정수준이 남학생들에 비해 낮은 것으로 나타났고, 자기효능감 수준이 높을수록 그리고 맥락적 장벽을 적게 지각할수록 진로미결정수준 또한 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 부모와 갈등이 심하고 학교에서 진로 관련 장벽을 많이 지각할수록 진로미결정 감소폭이 적은 것으로 나타났다.

Abstract

This study examined whether adolescents' levels of career indecision changes over time and also whether it can be predicted by both personal variables (i.e., gender and parents' educational level) and social cognitive variables (i.e., self‐efficacy, contextual supports, and contextual barriers). To do this, the present study analyzed the longitudinal data taken from the Korean Youth Panel Survey(KYPS), using a multi‐level modeling technique. Our results indicated that, firstly, adolescents' level of career indecision decreased significantly over time. Secondly, gender, self‐efficacy, and contextual barriers significantly predicted the initial level of career indecision. Thirdly, gender and contextual variables (i.e., conflicts with parents and perceived school barriers) significantly predicted the change rate. The implications for counseling and education are also discussed.
