보호관찰 청소년의 상담수강명령 이행에 대한 현상학적 연구: 참여 청소년들의 긍정적 변화를 중심으로

본 연구는 보호관찰 청소년의 상담수강명령 이행에 대한 경험을 현상학적으로 이해하는 데 주된 목적이 있다. 연구참여자는 범법 행위를 자행한 후, 상담수강명령 처벌을 받은 청소년 15명을 대상으로 개별심층면접을 실시하였다. 자료 분석은 Giorgi가 제시한 현상학적 연구방법의 4단계에 따라 분석하였다. 보호관찰 청소년들의 상담수강명령 이행에 대한 경험을 분석하기 위하여 청소년의 삶의 모습, 부모-자녀 관계, 또래 및 학교 관계, 상담수강명령 처벌 과정, 상담 과정, 종결 후의 감정 및 변화, 상담 후의 생활 등을 살펴보았다. 연구 결과에 따르면, 연구참여자들은 비행 행동에 대한 적절한 대처 방안을 탐색하고 일상생활에 적용시켜보는 경험을 통해 긍정적인 변화를 하였다. 본 연구는 보호관찰 청소년의 재범을 예방하기 위한 노력의 일환인 상담수강명령 이행에 대한 경험을 질적으로 탐색하였다는 것에 의의가 있다.
Abstract
This research is a qualitative study into the experiences of juvenile delinquents in terms of counseling attendance orders. The study was conducted through individual in‐depth interviews with 15 adolescents who had received a court order to attend counseling after committing a crime. Data analysis was carried out according to the 4 step phenomenological methodology suggested by Giorgi. To analyze the experiences of adolescents receiving such court orders for counseling, their lifestyles, relationships with their parents, friends, and school, the nature of the counseling attendance order and the counseling itself, and any changes in their emotions, and their lives after counseling were examined. The results of this research are as follows; the study participants experienced positive changes through those programs which attempted to find an effective plan for dealing with their delinquency and applied it to daily life. This study has a number of implications regarding qualitative research into the experiences and performance of counseling orders as part of the wider effort to prevent the recurrence of crime by juvenile delinquents.
