청소년 생애학습역량 측정 도구 개발 및 타당화 연구

지식과 정보가 급격하게 변화하고 불확실성이 보다 증가되는 현대사회는 새로운 가치를 창출하게 하는 인간의 ‘학습역량’은 다른 무엇보다도 중요한 핵심역량으로 인식되고 있다. 이러한 학습역량은 인간의 생애에 걸쳐 필요하고 이를 지속적으로 성장 발달시킬 필요가 있으며, 특히 청소년 시기에 생애에 걸친 학습역량 즉, 생애학습역량을 체계적으로 신장 및 발달시켜야 한다. 이를 위해서는 청소년의 생애학습역량에 대한 수준에 대한 진단이 무엇보다 중요한 출발점이 될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 청소년의 학습역량을 생애 발달적 관점에서 접근하여 청소년의 생애학습역량 수준을 진단하고 측정할 수 있는 측정도구를 개발하고 이에 대한 타당성을 검증하고자 하였다. 선행문헌 분석을 통해 청소년 생애학습역량을 구성하는 역량 및 하위역량에 부합하는 예비문항 46문항을 개발하였고 이에 대한 체계적인 통계적 검증과정을 통해 타당성을 타진하였다. 이를 위해 우리나라 청소년 초․중․고등학생을 모집단으로 표본 집단을 샘플링하여 총6.758명을 조사하였으며, 최종적으로 6,637명의 자료가 본 연구에 활용되었다. 연구결과, 청소년 생애학습역량의 사고력 측정문항은 9문항(비판적 사고력 6문항, 감성적 사고력 3문항), 지적도구활용능력 21문항(언어능력 5문항, 수학능력 5문항, 과학능력 7문항, 정보통신활용능력 4문항), 학습적응성 7문항(변화수용력 2문항, 지적호기심 2문항, 학습주도성 3문항) 등 총 37개의 문항이 개발되었다. 이들 문항의 정규성, 신뢰도, 상관관계분석, 탐색적 요인분석 및 확인적 요인분석 등에 따른 기준 조건을 모두 충족하는 것으로 확인되었다. 이를 바탕으로 청소년 생애학습역량 측정도구 개발에 대한 의의와 활용 방법, 그리고 정책적 활용 방법에 시사점을 논의하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to develop and validate a number of measurement tools for Korean Youth Lifelong Learning Competency (KYLLC). To address these goals, 46 items of measurement tools for KYLLC were developed by means of a systemic literature review and these items were in turn validated statistically. In order to validate the items, 6,637 youth were selected to participate in national wide survey and 6,637 data sets were used for validating the items. As a result, 37 items were developed and validated for the KYLLC; 9 items related to thinking (Cronbach α=.75), 21 items related to the ability to use intellectual tools (Cronbach α=.91), 7 items related to learning adaptability (Cronbach α=.78). Additionally, the structure of the measurement tools for KYLLC was found to exhibit a good model fit (χ2(df)=1791.075(24), p<.05; CFI=.914, NFI=.913, TLI=.915, RMSEA=.10). Based on the results of this research, a number of strategies and policies geared specifically for youth, using these new measurement tools for KYLLC, were suggested in order to increase Korean youth learning competencies.
