본 연구의 목적은 청소년의 주관적 건강상태에 대한 청소년과 부모의 평가의 일치 정도와 그 차이에 관련된 인구사회학적 요인들을 파악하는 것이다. 분석에 사용된 자료는 청소년의 주관적 건강상태에 대하여 청소년과 부모에게 동일한 문항을 조사한 2005년 국민건강영양조사의 아동 및 청소년 건강면접조사와 청소년 보건의식행태조사 자료였다. 분석 결과 우리나라 청소년의 건강에 대한 청소년과 부모의 평가의 일치도는 비교적 낮은 편인 것으로 나타났다. 청소년의 건강상태에 대한 판단의 청소년과 부모의 불일치는 청소년이 우울감, 스트레스, 비만 인식이 있을 때 커지는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 부모가 대리로 청소년의 건강상태를 평가할 때는 청소년의 정신적인 요소들을 고려하여야 할 필요가 있다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to assess the degree of agreement between an adolescent and his/her parent in terms of the adolescent's health status and to uncover demographic and socioeconomic factors that might be related to theirdisagreement. The data used in the analyses included the Health Interview Survey for children and adolescents and the Health Belief and Behavior Survey for adolescents, taken form the2005 Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. These two surveys contained the same question on the subjective health status of adolescents. The results showed that the degree of agreement between an adolescent and his/her parent on his/her health status was relatively low. Factors such as depression, stress, and the perception of obesity were related to the degree of disagreement between the two response sources. In conclusion, the mental health status of adolescents and their parents needs to be considered, when a parent's response is used as a proxy for an adolescent's subjective health status.
