MMPI-A 프로파일 양상을 통해 본 청소년범죄자의 심리적 특성 유형과 성차

본 연구에서는 청소년범죄자의 심리적 특성이 유형화되는지, 유형에 따른 성차가 있는지 알아보고자, 청소년 범죄자를 대상으로 MMPI-A 프로파일에 대한 군집분석 및 변량분석을 실시했다. 변량분석결과, 여자는 남자에 비해 대부분의 척도에서 T 점수의 평균이 유의미하게 높아, 정서적인 고통이 더 심하고 주변으로부터 더 많은 스트레스를 경험하는 것으로 나타났다. 남녀 각각에서 실시한 군집분석 결과, 남녀 모두에서 ‘호소형’과 ‘만성화된 비행’ 집단이 분류되었다. ‘호소형’은 임상척도를 비롯한 다수의 척도의 T 점수의 평균이 60점에 근접해 다른 집단과 뚜렷하게 구별된다. ‘만성화된 비행’ 집단은 임상척도 중 Pd, Ma 척도가 다른 임상척도에 비해 경미하게 상승하고 보충척도 중 약물관련 척도와 성격병리 5요인 척도 중 통제결여 척도가 T 점수 60점에 근접한 특징이 있었다. 그리고 남자에게서만, 타당도 척도 중 방어지표인 L, K 척도가 상승하고 정상 프로파일 패턴을 보이는 ‘방어형’과 신체증상 호소 관련 척도가 상승하는 ‘신체화형’이 발견되었다. 이러한 군집 유형들은, 국내 청소년범죄자의 심리적 특성의 양상을 잘 반영하는 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
The present research was an investigation into the MMPI‐A characteristics and gender differences of juvenile delinquents. The One‐Way ANOVA and cluster analysis were administered along with the MMPI‐A subscales. The results indicated that female delinquents experience more emotional distress and stressors from family or school. In addition, the ‘distress appeal’ type and the ‘chronic delinquency’ type appeared in both genders. However, the ‘defensive’ type and the ‘somatization’ type were relevant to only male delinquents. These results suggest that the four types outlined in this paper may be unique to juvenile delinquents.
