여자고등학생의 진로대안 잠재프로파일 분류: 직업지위와 성역할유형을 중심으로

초록

본 연구의 목적은 여자고등학생의 진로대안영역을 구성하는 희망직업의 지위 상한선 점수, 지위 하한선 점수, 성역할유형 상한선 점수, 성역할유형 하한선 점수의 총 네 개의 점수를 이용하여 잠재프로파일(Latent Profile)을 나누고 각 집단과 여성성역할, 학업성적, 사회경제적 지위, 진로결정수준 과의 관련성을 알아보는 것이다. 분석결과, 전체 분석 대상의 27.8%가 속해 있는 첫 번째 집단은 네 가지 진로대안의 구성 요소 중 직업지위는 평균보다 다소 낮고 좁은 범위를, 성역할유형은 평균을 기준으로 넓은 범위의 값을 가지고 있어 직업지위제한 집단으로 명명하였다. 반면, 전체 분석 대상의 72.2%가 속해 있는 두 번째 집단은 네 가지 진로대안의 구성 요소 중 직업지위가 첫 번째 집단보다 훨씬 넓은 범위를 가지며, 성역할유형은 보다 좁은 범위의 값을 가지고 있어 직업지위확대 집단으로 명명하였다. 여자고등학생의 진로대안의 각 잠재집단과 개인 및 사회환경적 변인과의 관련성을 살펴본 결과, 두 집단간 사회경제적 지위는 유의미한 차이가 없는 반면, 여성성역할이 높을수록 직업지위확대 집단에 속할 확률이 높으며, 학업성적과 진로결정수준이 높을수록 직업지위제한 집단에 속할 확률이 높았다. 본 연구는 여자고등학생의 여러 개인 및 사회환경적 특성이 진로대안 프로파일 분류에 각기 다른 영향을 미친다는 것을 보여주었다. 이는 청소년의 진로선택과 결정에 대한 연구를 보다 풍부하게 할 것이며, 진로상담에 대한 기초자료를 제공해 줄 수 있을 것이다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 의의와 제한점이 논의되었다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify latent profiles in the zones of acceptable alternatives amongst female high school students in order to test the relationship of the above to feminine gender roles, socioeconomic status, academic achievement and career decision‐making on determining latent profiles. The results indicated that there were two types of latent profiles in the zones of acceptable alternatives: A ‘Limited group of job status’ and an ‘Expanded group of job status’. It was also found that socioeconomic status between the two groups did not differ significantly, whereas the higher female gender roles were more likely to belong to the ‘Expanded group of job status’, and those demanding higher academic achievement levels and career decision‐making levels were more likely to belong to the ‘Limited group of job status’. The findings of this study can enrich future research into career choices and decision making as well as to help develop preliminary materials for career counseling of adolescents, especially female high school students. Both the implications and limitations of this study were also discussed, along with suggestions for future research.
