Methods: This study was conducted using the interim reports, final reports, and related research results concerning the Healthy People 2030. Data collection was obtained through international organizations’ websites and national health promotion websites. Results: Healthy People 2030 has the following features: 1) ‘well-being’ as the new vision; 2) an upstream approach to root causes; 3) an evidence-based approach; 4) multi-sectoral participation and cooperation. Conclusion: As future tasks for Korea’s Health Plan 2030, the following are proposed: 1) A blueprint for promoting health and well-being of children and adolescents should be presented; 2) Children and adolescents health promotion should be shifted from ‘behavior–focused’ to ‘system–focused’; 3) It is necessary to improve the objectives and indicator system for children and adolescents health promotion; 4) Educational indicators such as reading achievements should be included in health indicators; 5) Active participation and cooperation of multi-sectors are absolutely required; 6) A school should generate, educate and disseminate correct health and well-being information through strengthening its organizational health literacy.
