초록
Stroke is a common complication in patients with cancer. Depending on mechanisms, stroke manifests as ischemic or hemorrhagic. However, the occurrence of both type of stroke in a patient for a relatively short duration is very rare. We report a 67-year old man with an advanced pancreatic cancer who had repeated ischemic strokes of presumed embolic origin and intracerebral hemorrhage during 4 months. We suggest that when dealing with a stroke with an unusual presentation, cancer associated mechanisms should be considered as a differential etiologic diagnosis.
